Grey open-plan office without plants, with a concrete ceiling

Office plants in Budapest since 1988

Concretejungle.

Scroll down and see what becomes of a grey office once we fill it with plants.

The same office

The same desks as before, now a living space.

There is nothing to rebuild. We plan plants into the spaces you already have, so that they suit the light, the temperature and the way you work every day.

What we do

A little forest belongs indoors too

We choose plants for offices, receptions and meeting rooms, install them, and keep caring for them afterwards. If you would rather not buy them, you can also rent them, with the care included.

An office you will enjoy walking into.

Green surroundings make the atmosphere calmer, and according to research, work goes better too.

First impressions are made at reception.

A living green wall or your logo laid out in moss tells visitors who you are the moment they walk through the door.

Our real work

Your logo can be made of moss too.

The BNP Paribas logo in preserved moss at the reception

At the BNP Paribas reception, we laid out the company logo in preserved moss. It needs no watering and isn't sensitive to light either.

Biophilic design

A green office is a measurably better place.

We don't add plants just for the atmosphere. Biophilic design pays attention to light, plants, water, materials and views, and its effects can be shown in research too.

+15%

higher productivity in offices furnished with plants, based on three field experiments.

−23%

fewer complaints reported by employees, such as coughing, fatigue and a dry throat.

Even without windows, life finds a way in.

A moss wall needs no light, and the ZZ plant, the snake plant and the Chinese evergreen all do nicely in low light.

Light survey

We measure the light first, then choose the plants

We don't put our favourite plant in the corner, but the one that will feel at home there. To do that, we measure the light room by room and shape the plan around it.

Plant rental and care

You can rent the plants, and the care comes with them.

You don't have to buy the plants, and you don't have to water them either. We visit regularly and do everything it takes to keep them looking good all year round.

  • Watering and feeding at every visit
  • Pruning and leaf cleaning when needed
  • Plant protection through prevention
  • Replacement if a plant declines with rental
  • Photo report after every visit
  • Predictable monthly fee known in advance
For partners

Do you run a cleaning or facility management company?

You are in your clients' offices every day anyway, so you can offer them plants as well: we do the installation and the care, even under your name, and you don't need to keep a separate team for it.

Plant library

Colleagues who never go on holiday.

In our Plant library we write about every plant from an office point of view: how much light it needs, how often it wants water, and where it is best placed.

Empty concrete café with a bare roof terrace outside

Fifth floor, café

The best meeting room is sometimes on the roof.

Herbs go on the counter, trailing plants on the shelves, and the terrace gets the kind of greenery your team will happily spend the lunch break next to.

Outdoors, our sister team takes over

In the garden, GazEmberek carry on.

The roof garden, the lawn, the irrigation and the trees are looked after by GazEmberek, our sister team for gardens.

About us

Joe has been greening Budapest since 1988.

Virágbirodalom was founded by József Kiss, known to everyone as Joe. Since then, he and his team have been bringing greenery to offices, receptions, hotel terraces and event venues in Budapest.

We are a family business, so the same team designs, plants and cares for everything. Whoever measures the light at your place will still know later on which plant stands in which corner.
